Illustrative Degree Shows
ÏMA Design Village hosts Illustrative's first-ever "Degree Shows."
Acting as creative consultants, the ÏMA team supported the festival in creating an exhibition that includes work from Europe's top graphic arts and illustration departments. Work from leading universities, including Royal College of Art (London), Central St. Martins (London), University College Falmouth (Cornwall), Züricher Hochschule der Künste (Zürich) and Kunsthochschule Weißensee (Berlin) will be on display through 1 November 2009.
The opening on Friday, 23 October begins at 18:00 and features the hip hop/funk-infused band, Long Lost Relative.
The following night, 24 October, ÏMA hosts the "Degree Shows" award ceremony and a live performance by Berlin's street artist extraordinaire, SuperBlast. The festivities begin at 18:00.
The exhibition runs from 23 October to 1 November 2009, and is open daily between 11:00 and 20:00.
